A cool metaphor fort his could be an ant who is really great at writing and has a super sense of creativity but cannot take the test for some reason. maybe he cant hold a pencil. or something like that.
Mike A wrote about the issues surrounding the Mexican-American boarder. This is an increasingly sever issue, especially now because of the drug war taking place in Mexico that is trickling over the boarder. A good metaphor for this could be a kid playing some kind of game with his friends, a game like risk where you own certain countries in the world and you could talk about how he deals with simillar but less extreme issues on the boarder ofone of the countries that he owns.
Ben M wrote about how americans are selfish and only want more matterial things. A good metaphore for this could be a boy who just keeps wanting things and wanting things and then he really wants a bike or something but when he gets it he has too much stuff and he cant ride it. He could have to put some of the things he collected before down in order to ride the bike.
